Save Zimbabwe Now

Launched last week, Save Zimbabwe Now is a new movement aimed at providing solidary and support to the people of Zimbabwe.

Several high profile South Africans – including Archbishop Emeritus, Desmond Tutu, Graça Machel, Moeletsi Mbeki, Elinor Sisulu, Selvan Chetty (Solidarity Peace Trust) and Yasmin Sooka (Foundation for Human Rights) – have pledged to fast over a period of three months in an effort to encourage meaningful and tangible gains towards a peaceful settlement.

Fasting has been chosen to symbolise the hunger faced by millions of Zimbabweans every day, in varying forms of severity.
